many creators are scared to update their maps because there is a rumour of your map getting removed from discover.
me personaly had a lot of times i wanted to update my map but i couldnt do it because of the rumour that your map will be removed.
can someone from epic please clarify this so its clear to all the creators?
It doesn’t… We’ve updated our map quite a few times and each time it gets approved. Whoever starts these “rumours” needs to stop maybe… dunno. Maybe they’re making a map that is against the TOS and they don’t want to get caught. That said, the approval process seems totally automated as they let all kinds of things through that break the TOS. Probably not a problem at all in that regard
i know it gets approved but i am talking about when you update your map and it get approved. your island will drop out from discovery
Not if it’s a good map. Maps that don’t get players get dropped like a hot rock.
i know but what a lot of creators want to know if updating has any effect on that.
im not talking about good update bad update. i know if its a bad map it can get dropped down.
what i mean is if the update self has any effect on it.
I’ve seen Wertandrew comment that changing tags on a submition after an update can do this.
