Can Control Rig scale along an arbitrary vector? (transform a box into a parallelepiped)

I was hoping to be able to rig for squashing and stretching traditional animation style, but find I can only scale along the 3 local axes, not an arbitrary vector.

For example, here the front of the scaled rotated red cube should be a parallelogram, not a rectangle.

Can scaling in Control Rig ever make a child coordinate system skew / non-orthogonal?
