Can anyone tell me why my NPC characters feet are slipping please?

Basically the animation in blender looks fine, the feet don’t slip. After export into ue5 the bone stays perfectly still, but the feet slip. This is the same for all animations where basically the bone stays, and the character floats around.

I’ve tried telling the animation asset to ‘Enable Root Motion’ but it literally doesn’t do anything.

I also told the animation blueprint to ‘Root Motion From Everything’ and it doesn’t affect this whatsoever.

What can I do to fix this please?

It’s worth noting that I exported this asset into mixamo, it used the custom skeleton. Everything looked totally fine in the preview by mixamo and in blender. Suddenly it doesn’t work right back inside UE5

Hello there @EarthHobbit!

Checking around the community, Blender and Unreal do have a tendency to clash with each other in different scenarios, specially animations.

First approach for this problem, would be to reset export/import settings in both programs, then test transfering your rigged asset again. If the issue persists after that, please test the method below, it has worked wonders on similar isues:

Unfortunately this didn’t work. It just imported with the exact same issue. Thanks though
