I have an artifact linked to a deployment in my dev sandbox. Accounts within the organization can redeem an access key, download the game, and launch it through the Epic Games Launcher just fine. Accounts external to the organization are a bit of an issue. I added the account id to a player group that has access to all sandboxes. These accounts can redeem the access key, but the game does not appear in their library. Are there any requirements I’m missing? I’ve tried shutting down the launcher and signing back in; the game is still not in the library.
Hi @DmitriMD! For external accounts to access your build, you’ll need to complete the EAS application first. Once that’s been done, those accounts should be able to see the game in their launcher once they’ve restarted.
Hi @smith.sd, I have the same issue. When you say “complete the EAS application first” do you mean the application that I’ve linked to the artifact and have uploaded? As we’ve passed brand verification, linked clients and set permissions. All three lights are green, however only people within our org can access the build in their library from the Dev Sandbox, even though I have created a Player Group.
By any chance, do you mean the EGS Onboarding instead? We are on hold for the Business Registration verification (having passed the Tax Verification process)
What could I missing? Thank you!
Hi @smith.sd, just a quick update. It appears that only people who have been added into our organization can use the keys that we’ve generated. Regardless of being in the Player Groups.
We’ve completed our EGS onboarding, tax, business registration, the offer, product configuration, regions and ratings, etc - dev sandbox is showing all checkmarks except for the product home page - but we’re not ready for that. We want to be able to issue keys to investors, but adding them into the org is a substantial amount of friction. It seems like we’ve covered all the bases, artifact creation, uploading using the tool, creation of a product group, with permissions to all sandboxes.
Brand verification was done ages ago, all green lights on the product page in Epic Account Services.
What am I missing?
Thank you!
@Rocketry-Paul Its possible the Player Group was not setup correctly. Make sure you use the Epic Account ID and not the email (this is something I see frequently done incorrectly). Assuming
A) Epic Account Services is verified, which it sounds like you have that done
B) the account is in a correctly configured player group
C) they have claimed a Key for the associated product and sandbox
It should show up in their library. If not, could you message me the product ID and epic account ID of an impacted account and I can take a look?
