Can a small-scale physics be a problem?

For example, if we want to make a domino or a Rube Goldberg machine in small scale (elements in a size of e.g. a matchbox, relative to the default UE Mannequin), will the physics simulation be worse, e.g. due to floating point precision errors or something else?

Judging from my initial tests, everything works ok for now (I haven’t done more complex physics setups yet though), but I’ve found this topic:

… And the answer recommends scaling everything up. Is it still a thing in the UE 4.24?
