Camera Rig Rail undo and move with camera bug

Spotted 2 problems related to Camera Rig Rail

1- When I undo a new node, the rail mesh doesn’t disappear

2- When I create a new node (with alt) and try to follow it while dragging (with shift) the camera doesn’t move.

Hi, was a solution found to this problem. I am having the exact same issue in my level and now when I close and reopen the project rails and camera’s no longer work.

I’m having the same issues.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Create camera rig
  • Add cine camera as child node
  • Animate the Path on Rig in Sequencer.
  • Save All Assets.
  • Reopen project

Find that the rig no longer moves, even though the Path-keyframes still work. Changing the rig and undoing makes the whole rig go away.

I am not getting the same results in a new 4.14 project. I attempted to reproduce the issue with the steps you provided, but there could be something I am missing or something you might have left out.

I simply added a new Camera Rig Rail, added a CineCamera component as a child of the RailCameraMount, animated it within sequencer, then reopened my project.

Hello, I have the same issue.
In my sequence I have two keys for “Current Position on Rail”. When I play the sequence the camera should move along the rails, but it’s not.
If I choose the “CameraRig_Rail” in the outliner and change the value here the camera follows the rail. When I do this it will also update the mesh of the rail as it’s not updating when I change the spline points.

In the image bellow you can see that the camera should be in the middle of the rail but it’s at the beginning.

This worked fine the other day. Now when I started working on it again it would not work. It’s Version 4.14

Would you mind providing me with some simple steps on my end, because I have tested this setup multiple times now, and do not get the same results.

In this case, try to be as specific as possible (especially when talking about the keyframing process). If you would rather provide me with the project where the issue is occurring that is fine as well.

Sorry for the last answer. I’ve been working with other stuff.
I’ve been trying to reproduce the issue in a clean project without success. Looks like its something in our project. Unfortunately it’s extremely large so I can’t share it.
