I have a laserscan that I cannot get aligned - see Align laser scan with images.
Since nobody seems to be able to help, I tried around a bit more.
It turns out that when I set Camera Priors in Alignment Settings to False, the laserscan will be turned on its back. I don’t imagine this is an intended feature. I tried to set it to False because my images show True under Use Camera Positions in the components alignment setting report, even though my camera does not feature GPS. All coordinate systems are set to Euclidean.
When I now align the images and the scan, the scan is much bigger all of a sudden. When I set Camera Priors back to True, the scan is upright again and with usual scale. The image based model is only slightly changed in scale…
So is this a normal behavior?
