Does anyone have detailed information on this camera that can be added into sensorsdb?
I’ve found that the sensor width is 6.16mm, but i notice some cameras (like the GoPro3) have more detail, such as;
<lens type=“division” focal=“15” c1=“-0.3143”/>
And I’m wondering how much improvement might be gained from being similarly detailed about my FC350 camera.

You won’t gain anything in terms of detail if it’s in the db…
So, what’s the point of those other settings?
Not entirely sure about the intricacies, those need to be answered by DEVs.
But it has been said in the form here that the db is only there to deliver priors, which will be calculated by RC anyway.
Hello,
DJI FC350 = DJI Zenmuse X3 camera which has sensor size 6.17 x 4.55 mm. The only parameter that RC takes into account is the sensor width = 6.17mm.
The final image quality is composed not only by the sensor but optics too. So if you can see more image details in other cameras with the same sensor size then it’s most probably because of better optical lens used.

I just wondered what the point was of the other settings that mention “lens type” - particularly as it’s a GOPro, which I have, but I have a GoPro 4 not a 3 - they’re up to Hero 6’s now so RC’s database file is not exactly “current”…
As far as I am aware the database exists for cameras or camera-lens-combinations that are known to be problematic. The vast majority of camera setups does not fall into that category.
So there is usually no need for concern regarding the yelllow triangles next to the input images.

Regarding this parameter:
<lens type=“division” focal=“15” c1=“-0.3143”/>
It is used to set proper lens distortion priors to cameras with excessive lens distortion, such as GoPro. Other cameras with fixed lens usually don’t use fisheye lens which cause such large image distortion. So setting this parameter helps prior to camera aligment in case you have fisheye lens. Other cameras with more narrow lens such as FC350 are not affected by this so you don’t need this parameter.
