Calculated distance error

Hi, I have a problem with setting the correct dimensions of the model.

My workflow:

  • importing images from UAV and DSLR camera
  • allinging images without any control points
  • manualy set 2 or more control points (each in at least 5 images) on poinclouds
  • define distance (12.379 m)
  • update or realigning images

Result:

  • calculated distance is now 7143220 m or some other crazy number
  • the ground plane turns

It’s happened to me a few times. Maybe I’ve set something wrong somewhere or I’m doing something else stupid. Thank you for the advice.

can you try disable georeferencing for the images and then try it again?

Thank you for the advice.
I only had this set up: “Ignore GPS Exif” - Yes, but that didn’t help me.
Based on your question, I tried to set: “Use camera priors for georeferencing” - No.
Now the calculation of the dimensions works as it should.
