CAD measurement tools / functions

Hello guys,

I do not have an Nvidia GPU, so I cannot try RealityCapture by myself and couldn’t find much information about it. Does RealityCapture have the following CAD functions?

  1. 3D area measurement tool?
  2. Slope measurement tool?
  3. Height measurement tool?
  4. 2D images support that helps to precisely specify the distance spots on the 3D model (like Pix4Dmapper)?
  5. See the altitude of every pixel while moving the mouse cursor?
  6. Circle drawing tool with the possibility to see the perimeter, area, and diameter?
  7. Modifying annotations and labels on the model?

I will try to answer your questions.

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Yes, but it is not direct. You need to place control point or measure it on ortho image.
  4. You can measure the distances on created model or on the ortho/DSM/DTM. For that you need to have placed control points, so they could be placed precisely on the images (2D)
  5. Yes, on the ortho
  6. Yes, but only radius, volume and area are showed for the circle. For the perimeter the region 2D view should be used.
  7. No, but regions can be used sort of as labels.

It would be nice if we could measure directly on 3D model view :slight_smile:
