Caching Conundrum (Full Disk)

Hi folks, I ran into, what I presume is a corner case, where I ran out of disk space. However, this happened on a new machine, all I had done was install reality capture, and start working on this one project. Its about 6000 images captured from a UAS. I was trying to unwrap the model with the new mosaicing algorithm when I ran out of disk space. The reality capture cache had eaten my whole 1TB SSD. Because I haven’t done anything else on this machine I didn’t have anything to delete. So I went to clear the cache, but couldn’t because the project wasn’t saved. I ended up getting out of it by deleting the input images from the drive because I have them backed up. But it would be nice to have the out of disk space stop come when reaching the threshold of how much space is required to save the project.

Hello @esdanol.
there is such tool since 1.2.2 RealityCapture version: Introducing RealityCapture 1.2.2 | Course
This could be related also to your used settings.
Which version are you using? How big model have you tried to unwrap (be aware that mosaicing is even bigger that ordinary unwrap and it is still a beta. Also, you need to consider this - Cache for texturing: 500 bytes of storage for each triangle, or 1kb every 2 tris, or 1mb every 2000 tris, or 1 gb every 2 million tris, or 1tb every 2billion tris)?
Also, you can clear the cache directly from the application in the settings:
