C4D - UE via Datasmith - Materials mixed up?

I am trying to move a C4D file into Unreal using the datasmith import. I have about 2200 frames of animation and several materials. The issue I am having is that after the import completes (~2 hours) the materials are mixed up from the objects they were assigned to in C4D. An object that should have a metal material comes in with a different material in that slot, they are simply mixed around. How can this be?

this sounds like a bug at Cineware. Are you using the latest CinewareForUnreal (0.2023.8)?
Could you pm me a simplified C4D file that shows the same behavior? One object that has a problem with the materials slots should suffice. The bug should be independent of the animations. I could also take a look at why the import takes so long.
