C4D importer compilation?

I need to be able to import C4D files from our artists, and we’re using the github code, but:
A) The Datasmith plugin button doesn’t show C4D as a usable extension, as if I use it in a Epic Store build
B) The VS project doesn’t show the DatasmithC4DImport under the Programs/Datasmith folder

I saw elsewhere that the CAD pipeline isn’t included in the github tree, but is C4D also limited in this way?
If so, what’s the proper way to use Datasmith for C4D in a compiled build?
