C:\Users\\AppData\Local\UnrealEngine\Common\DerivedDataCache is getting so big, Safe to delete?

Hello

I’m using UE5.1. recently found out that my C drive is running out of space due to the unreal DDC folder getting bigger.
I wonder is it safe to delete all these files inside the folder? or is it possible to move them to some place else?
Thanks!

Hey there @Guesscui2018! So the engine side DDC folder handles shaders and other cached data. This can be deleted but you’ll rebuild most of it when you launch the engine again. I’d recommend instead to move the cache to another location, then move the files there, as shader rebuilds take a while as is, first launch engine takes forever.

Thanks a lot! Yes I think I’ve figured out a way of moving the DDC folder to another location, yes rebuilding takes a while but I think I’ll be fine after it’s done.
