Now guys, just over 3 days to go.
If we reach the last stretch goal of 100.000£ it will include Performance Optimization.
So I encourage you to back this project. It will benefit so many people, and hopefully you as well.
So BACK BACK BACK.

Ok i will back this, I hope I can learn from this.
One think I am concerned:
By this end of this course, will a person who knows nothing at all about coding publish a game?
Yes, a complete beginner will be able to learn to code and create games with this course.
I mean, this will start waaaay to basic right?
If this course guide you through the process of create a game, starting from explain what is a variable, how many hours of tutorial will you need??
Yeah that seems like too much of a blanket statement. You can’t expect one course, especially one focused on rather complex C++, to teach you everything you need to know to “create games”. But really, what’s there to lose? Tim Sweeney backed this with £500 and I’m thinking of backing too just because it’s a good effort and people often complain about lack of C++ tutorials. Worst case you lose £15 or whatever but surely you’ll at least learn some things.
Well,
If his previous tutorial series is any indication the series will be long;
I mean, really long
I don’t back anything Kickstarter anymore, but this project is interesting for the ppl lost about where to start Unreal dev.
Don’t know why some are being unpleasant on it.
The kickstarter page mentions that the course will be over 20 hours long. How much over i am not certain!
Any idea when it will release will it be this year or 2016
I would’ve backed it to the point where I get the course for free, but from looking at the Unity course trailer, I wasn’t that impressed
November 2016 as far as the Kickstarter says.
No, January 2016.
The date on “THE TRIAD” Tier is wrong (Please note the delivery date for the Triad Reward level will be Nov 2015 (not 2016))
Right enough mate Just ignore me.
I am curious then to how far a long the course creation they are at, considering they only have 2-3 months to deliver all the stretch goals.
100k reached, now the course includes
Performance Optimisation
“This will go hand-in-hand with Virtual Reality. If we make this level we will show you how to analyse and optimise game performance.”
=D
hope he will get experienced UE programmers because it isn’t that much about C++ skill but how UE source works.
Good to see it was backed;]
Well I jumped in for the UE4 course. Hope it is as good and useful as it could be.
To answer some questions:
It will start VERY basic, with a “rock paper scissor” type game. They really aren’t kidding when they say they start from the beginning. I am doing the Blender course by this guy, and it really is from the beginning. I mean They tell you how to download and install even.
The first part should come in the beginning of december this year for the higher tiers of pledging. Other will get it in January. It will be released in stages as each section gets completed. The complete course should be released around July.
To the guy who isn’t impressed with the Unity intro, take a look at the reviews on that course:
https://www.udemy.com/unitycourse/#reviews
56k students enrolled so far, I don’t think it’s all bad.
Well it just seems too simple to the point that I doubt I would learn anything, as I already feel comfortable with everything he talked about in the trailer. I guess he really does down-to-basics beginners courses.
