Buying guidance

Dear all,
I am required to buy a laptop that will last over my doctoral degree in Computer Graphics. The highest demand that I will probably have will be running UE5. I wanted to ask if anyone can recommend a laptop within a price range of 2700€ (located in Germany) that can run and render mid to moderately large UE5 scenes comfortably (in scope of Electric Dreams).

I have found a machine with the following specs:

  • Intel Core i7-12800H (6 x 2.4 GHz)
  • 64GB RAM
  • RTX A4500, 16GB VRAM (peak 110W)
  • 2TB SSD

Before you recommend getting a desktop, this is no option as I am required to be on the go. Personally, I would rather buy a setup around a 4090, but laptop it must be.

I have no experience with workstation cards and UE itself, so any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Ben

sounds fair, but what brand it is?

well you know the drill max performance your money can buy, and preferable get a 17" one

It is the ThinkPad P1 Gen5. I am unsure how the workstation gpu holds up with UE.
