Buleprint Instanced Static Mesh, doesn't show in sequence recording

I have an Elevator blueprint. The actual room that is moving up and down is a Static Mesh but the outer shaft and the doors are Instanced Static Meshes that are put together with a construction script. When I try to record the player/character using the elevator, I add the Player/Character and the Elevator Blueprint to the recorder, record the player using the elevator, then check the box “hide in game” for the elevator Blueprint and when I play it back it’s just the elevator room that is the static mesh that shows up. I can edit the recorded instance of the Blueprint to get the IS Meshes to show up but the recording doesn’t have any keyframes of the doors opening and closing. How do I get the Sequence Recorder to record the Instanced Static Mesh doors opening and closing?
