Building under 4.23.0 Crashes Editor on Mac

THIS IS NOT THE PREVIEW VERSION! THIS IS THE 4.23.0 RELEASE!

I have experienced program freezing and out-right crashes from ‘building’ projects within 4.23.0.

Procedure:

  1. launch 4.23.0
  2. when prompted to either ‘open a copy’ or ‘migrate in place’ my 4.22 files into 4.23, I choose to ‘migrate in place’ to 4.23.
  3. after any shaders finish compiling, I press ‘Build’.

In a few cases, the wait meter simply got stuck on building geometry. I had to force kill.
In one case, the build did finish, but then going to ‘Save All’ crashed the program
In one case, the entire program crashed while doing a ‘build’
