Building from Source Problems

Hello,

earlier i was able to build from source by using github, checking out the latest source and then building it.

in 4.81 i am not able to check out, git hub tells me some filename or pathname is too long.
then i tried to download the latest source as zip and it failed in setup.bat when it downloads the project dependencies…

any ideas?
i really would like to build from source

can be closed… changed the hard disk started fresh, maybe space was the problem…
also i had an old file mess from an old source build
