build lighting for specified mesh only

I’m not sure if it’s been proposed but it would be an awesome feature. When we crank the settings, building lighting can take several hours. We have to do this everytime we change a single thing in the scene. Is it possible to implement something that would allow us to rebuild lighting only on a selected mesh and/or only what has changed in the scene since the last lighting build? Thanks!

We do have a request in for this feature to be considered by the engineers with ticket UE-10034. There is no timeline for when/if this will be added to the editor though. I’ve updated the Community Interest to reflect your interest in this as well.
