Build failing after upgrade to 5.4

Hi there!

Recently had to upgrade my project to 5.4, and upon packaging the project for Windows I’m getting an error I havn’t been able to debug:

I’ve checked the output log but it’s not giving me any indication of where the problem lies, as I’m not really sure what ‘:\build++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Public\Containers\HashTable.h’ is as its part of the engine files.

Using 5.4.1 installed from the launcher.

Any help would be greatly appreiated.

Turns out it was something in the DefailtEngine.ini. Generating a new one cleared the bug.

Looks like this is a crash during shader compilation caused by Oodle.

Log says:

and then generic crash happens in Engine/Source/Runtime/Core/Public/Containers/HashTable.h#L489

OP had no debugging symbols so it is impossible to trace this down.

I suspect there were some build artifacts from previous version of Unreal and deleting DefailtEngine.ini caused them to regenerate too.
