Hi there! Since the bug-email-folder apparently have a bug and doesnt work we write here instead.
Materials/textures are distorted in all of our models since the last (we think) update.
Please see attached picture with a sample that shows a roof that is solid geometry in sketchup but when adding material/texture in TM it sometimes looks like this. Why is this?
We also wonder why there is no fix to that every time we update our Sketchup model and go back into TM materials that we picked in TM before are lost so we have to do it all over again. It seems this have been a problem for years.
Thank you for posting in the community and sorry to hear about the issues. There is a known issue on how certain meshes were created in the design application and being brought into Twinmotion. If you import a SKP file you can select the fix UV selection.
When you are importing the SKP model, what collapse method and workflow are you using? Are you using the SKP import or the Datasmith Exporter plugin? Depending on what you are picking there is a chance it reverts back but this should not be happening unless the material in Sketchup changed and was hoping you could contact us to report a bug so we can make sure to investigate this fully.

I hope you are doing well and wanted to inform you that the latest Twinmotion 2022.2 Preview 1 version now has a Max UV Precision checkbox with the import menu with udatasmith and direct-link which should resolve the UV mapping issues.
