There are several bugs when using text or arrows in blueprints since version 4.9. :
Edited Text is not actualised in the open bp viewport. It gets only updated after reopening the bp editing window.
Updated text is not updated in the already inserted bp actors in the world and also gets not updated if replacing these bp actors.
Using arrows in bp actors is fine if simulating the game in the editor. After packaging all scenes where an arrow in a bp actor can be seen get totally overbright.
Does this occur in a clean, blank project with no additional content or is it limited to one project? What are the material settings you are using for your text render actors? For instance, are you setting any of your RGB values to >1, which would cause an emissive effect? What steps can I take to reproduce these effects on my end?
testing at the moment and all bugs are present exactly as I described it even in an empty project. I used an emissive text material for the text but this happens also using the standard text material.
I haven’t had a chance to test this again as of yet as we typically do not work on weekends. I’ll take a look at this as soon as I am able and get back to you once I have more information. Thank you for your continued patience.
I haven’t been able to reproduce this on my end thus far. Do you have any specific steps I can take to recreate this on my end? Is this in UMG or in a blueprint actor?
