Hello,
I’m using text renders in my game and when packaging the game and running it, they are not showing correctly.
This problem is happening about once out of three times and it never happen in the editor.
It doesn’t seem to have other impact on the game.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I am going to need a bit more information before I begin investigating. What version of UE4 would you be using and is that version a Binary or Source build? Can you replicate this issue on a blank template project? What platform are you packaging your project for?

Hello Sean, it only happened during ONE build. I used UE4 v4.6.1.
Hey Deimon,
When you saw the error, did it occurring during your first packaging of a project with UE4, or have you packaged at an earlier point in the Engine? I seems at though it is just a one off error where the engine hit a snag during packaging, thus why it has not occurred since.
I went back and tested 4.7.3 and 4.6.1, and hit no snags in the project. Would you still have the logs from that project? That would be the only way that I can see what may have occurred.

I continued to development my game and it happened into other builds too, at random. When a packaged build (cuz it never happened outside of packaged game) is touched by the bug, what happen is 1 out of 3 times, the text renders actors in the scene are messed up.
What are the steps to get the logs you’re looking for?
You should be able to locate your log files in this location via Windows Explorer: \UnrealProjects[Project Name]\Saved\Logs.

My build is currently working perfect, I’d need to go through my archives to package a client that has the problem. Unfortunetly, I don’t have much time currently, I’ll take the time to do so later on.

I just went back and revisited this project and have still been unsuccessful with attempting a repro of what you have been seeing. If possible, would you be able to recreate this issue in a new template project and then send that over?
In your last comment I noticed that you said ’ a client’. is it safe to assume that this issue is occurring for someone else and not yourself. If so, would you be able to provide their DXdiags so that I may be able to further investigate?

Just have a couple more questions for you. Do you have texture actors being setup in a blueprint for run-time vs placing in a level? Also, do you have the text render being referenced in the demo room example blueprint?
Would you be able to send over just the Blueprint asset where the error is occurring?
