BUG? Skeletal Mesh asset cannot see Skeleton

Pretty new to the scene but ive be stuck for the past few hours, couldnt find any info on the issue im having. Any help is appreciated.

I import my model with bones from blender everything works fine, materials and textures all look good but i cannot save my ‘Skeletal Mesh’ every time i try to save it i get an error “This skeletal mesh asset has no Skeleton. Skeletal mesh asset need a valid skeleton.”.

It definatly has a skeleton (refer to photos). Ive tried changing the way I export from Blender, importing individually, creating skeleton manually inside unreal… im not sure if the skeleton selection being grayed out in the asset tab means anything?

Ive bypassed the issue, renamed the weapon and all references to it throughout the game and the Static Mesh can now save without errors.
