I think if Epic gave you some sort of feedback that your reports have been logged or seen or passed to someone to verify that your report got to them it would increase the amount of people sending reports.
Why am I am bringing this up now after years?
I have been using 5.7 Preview for about 2 weeks and in the crash directory which I just cleared I have sent about 100+ crash reports to Epic with check box of allowing Epic to contact me, never heard anything back ever in over 10+ years of submitting reports using this method since Unreal 4.7.
Now I have manually sent reports and got some sort of feedback but never a date when it will be fixed or any verification that once it was fixed that it was my report that triggered the effort to fix the issue.
Since I haven’t had any sort of feedback loop or any response I feel that I must be bothering them or they just don’t care to fix. I just think more transparency good or bad would be very good for the community.
