Bug: "Pin World Context Object must have a connection" when using Spawn Actor from an Object

If you use the Blueprint node “Spawn actor from class” inside a Blueprint class that extends “Object”. You will get a compile error saying “Pin World Context Object must have a connection”. But there’s no such pin, so no way to fix the error. Mouse overing the “World Context Object” for more details shows “”.

This picture shows a minimal example of the bug, that’s all this project has. (started an empty Blueprint project) This is inside the Event Graph of a Blueprint class that extends Object.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to reproduce this error on my end.

  • What steps did you take to reproduce this?
  • Does this occur in a clean, blank project with no additional content or is it limited to one project?
  • How are you populating “Spawn Spot”?
