[BUG] Nearest Texture Filtering Errors


I’ve discovered nearest texture filtering does not seem to be working as expected in 4.7.2 - black pixels are being displayed incorrectly. In the below screenshot, there should be a 2 pixel wide black border around the entire image, however it appears that at least 11 of those pixels are displaying incorrectly, and the colours they are displaying do not make any sense:

False alarm!

I have in fact discovered that MS Paint does not correctly save blacks in PNG files; UE4’s texture filtering is fine, the issue was with the texture pre-import.
