I have a really weird problem where I am unable to jump in-game unless I have the Kismet window open. It seems to work regardless of the blueprint that I have open though it doesn’t work if I’m in the “components” panel of the blueprint, only on the defaults or graph pages.
Rebinding “Jump” to something else makes no difference and if I use the space bar to attack instead, it also works.
If I go into the blueprint, set a breakpoint and play, the game will get to the breakpoint, open the blueprint and then freeze completely, forcing me to shut it down with the task manager.
Since I have no real idea of what’s going on, I uploaded the project to the ftp (under the Jonas Tykesson folder). The jump is handled in the top part of the Jump_Character blueprint, it’s currently bound to space or Facebutton_Bottom.
Also, if someone would test to build the project and upload it to the ftp that would be very nice. It doesn’t work on my computer so I don’t know if it’s my version of Rocket, my computer or the project itself.
I want to make a small progress video but since we weren’t allowed to show the tools I have to have a separate video of the standalone, which I can’t make.
Hello Jonas,
I’ve taken a look at your project files, loaded up your test map and was able to reproduce the issue you’ve cited. I was able to jump when in-game while a blueprint was open in every instance I pressed the space-bar.
When a blueprint was not open however, I was not able to jump consistently (there were instances where I would still be able to jump when I repeatedly pressed the space-bar whether I was moving or not).
I next loaded up your project on our internal revision and tested this and was able to jump in every instance whether a blueprint was open or not so I expect that this will be addressed in a future Rocket Beta release. Please let us know if you still encounter the issue still once the release is made available.
Thanks!

That’s great to hear, I’ll just wait for the next version then.
Did you also try building the project (if it’s possible) and seeing if you could jump in the stand-alone? I posted on the build fail previously, but since I asked as a question it might have wound up in the wrong area.
