Bug in Version 1.0.2.2810 RC release

Hi,

it seems there is a bug in missing camera model update feature. In the past everything has been working perfectly, now the yellow triangle always appears, also if I update the sensorsdb.xml.

Hope you fix it soon, as we are in a important project.

Nice greetings

I have the same problem. But please post in the correct forum category. There is a bug report forum here

Hello!

Are you sure before RC update your camera was in sensorsdb.xml ?

Just compaired prev release and current sensor.db and see that new one have more cameras that was in old one.

Anyway, if you are on rush, you can add your camera model and sensor size to db manually:
C:\ProgramData\Capturing Reality\RealityCapture\sensorsdb.xml

for example i added my own
<camera model=“SONY ILCE-6000” ccdWidth="23.500 " />

I did, but without any change, because thats the bug…camera is added and old cam was already in xml - triangle is still showing…

Hello Roger and Johnathon,

could you please post here your sensorsdb.xml and one of the images, so we can look at them ?

Does this actually have any benefit in terms of processing time?
Or what’s the point of it apart from getting rid of the yellow triangle?

I would guess that the database is meant for cameras with known problems/issues in regard to RC and the way it does align the photos.

So if your camera is not in there, chances are good that alignment will work out-of-the-box without much need to tweak the various different parameters.

At least that is my understanding of this.

Camera in DB mean that RC can use predefined censor size and not try to calculate it from EXIF lens settings.
Exif mean RC can use predefined lens settings and not calculate it from detected features.

So this mean even if image not have sensor size in DB and even if it not have lens settings in EXIF (no exif) RC will not have this variables in first alignment step, and first calculate them, and after this refine them.

Ok, cheers guys!
