Soooooo this is super weird. Things were fine when I last left off on Thursday. I came back today, and when I’m just sitting there looking at the editor, the whole scene is just constantly slowly rotating. There’s only 5 things in my scene and when I check each of them, their transforms are exactly the same. They aren’t showing any signs of being moved. If I hit play, my game plays totally fine. Upon hitting stop, the viewport is reset back to the initial state and then just goes right on rotating again. I’ve tried restarting, recompiling, trying various other build configurations and it’s all the same. Here’s an animation of it in action.
I also as a test just made a new project and the same thing is happening! So it’s apparently not unique to my project. I’m using 4.6.1 btw.
Do you have a Controller hooked up to your PC? Try unplugging it and seeing if the rotation stops. This behavior is expected as the editor will allow you to control your viewport from the controller.
This just saved me hours of troubleshooting. Turns out I had my Xbox controller plugged in and was upside down behind my PC. Couldn’t for the life of me work out why my viewport was constantly rotating.
Lovecraft_K Thank you for this! I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what settings I messed up. Unplugging the xbox controller fixed the problem!
