[Bug] Crash after creating Blueprint Actor

I get this crash in the newest build 1904627 if I create a blueprint from actor and rename it before I click the SAVE it crashes Rocket when I try to open it and it does not attempt to save the blueprint with the new name. When I reopen rocket it shows the newly named blue print but I cannot do anything more than open it.Once open if I try to goto components it crashes with this message

Hello, Im am having the same problem:

I dragged a skeletal mesh into the scene. I created a blueprint from it. It was named “New_Blueprint”. Then I tried to rename it into “Fat_Guard” and the game asked me to compile the blueprint to do so. I had the blueprinteditor open at the same time. Then the game crashed with the error message below and since then the same message appears when i go to the “Graph” section of the blueprint editor. However i can access “Defaults” and “Components” in the blueprint editor.

I just wanted to make sure that I wasn’t going crazy there, either :).

It should be noted though, that if I just exported the folder with the particles, that it worked fine. ie - I could add a flame (really, the particle that appears when you fire a gun in he FPS) behind my ship.

Thanks for your report! We’re trying to reproduce this crash and would like to collect a little more information from you in that regards. What kind of project template had you created? Did you have any intermediate steps on the initial crash between creating the actor blueprint and renaming it (meaning did open the blueprint to add any components, variables, or nodes to the graph)?

I simply started rocket then created a new project using the FPS W/Blueprint template.
I then created a blueprint from actor. I had clicked away before I had typed in the name so it was defaulted to New Blueprint if I recall I clicked there and renamed it to a new name.
The name stayed and when I clicked the SAVE button I got the crash. Then when I reopened rocket the project I was working on reopened and showed the new blueprint with the rename.
I can open the blueprint but If I click on components it crashes every time. I have not added any variables or anything it is a blank blueprint. The crash message I posted it from the crash when trying to edit the blueprint.

Having the exact same thing. I cannot open the Components of the Blueprint for anything in the project. Steps leading up to that were: importing (copying) new assets (TPP skeletalmesh) from the Third Person Blueprint project and setting them up in the FPS project’s MyCharacter Blueprint Components.

I did notice that if you don’t change the name during the initial creation of the blueprint that when you click save the popup ask to save the default name and not the corrected name. I am including screenshots of the blueprint and console popup and the log window
