The label of control points is not editable immediately after creating the control point (A). If you click into the name field and try to edit the name, the field is not responding. You have to select another control point (B) and reselect the new control point (A) again. Then the name field is changable.
This behaviour is different,
when creating in the 1D view pane via create button (<Function 1>)
and the 2D view pane via F3 short cut (<Function 2>).
Function 1 seems to work fine.
Function 2 shows the described behaviour.
