Bug 28407 [Solved] : Mapbox Satellite "An error occurred in the communication with the selected map provider"

Hi,

I was following this guide to georeference my scene: https://support.capturingreality.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001577032-How-to-geo-reference-the-scene-in-RealityCapture-using-ground-control-points-faster

I got to this point:

"To get the access token for Mapbox maps, you need to register at https://www.mapbox.com/ first. The registration is free of charge.

Once you are successfully registered to Mapbox, go to the main page of your account and search for the section Access tokens. In this section, you can see the generated  Default public token. Copy the Default public token and insert it into RC into the  User credentials  field and press OK. The satellite images from Mapbox will be loaded into the map view."

But after creating the account and copying the default token into the user credentials I still don’t get the satellite map loaded it displays “An error occurred in the communication with the selected map provider”

What can I do to fix this?

thank you for reporting this, there might be some problem with Mapbox layer, we will check it.

Please try to use different mapbox layer instead. Does it work?

Neither of the two mapbox options work.

It also does not work for “OpenStreet” but does work for “OpenStreet DE” and “OpenStreet Topo”
