I exported a scan from RC to retopologize and redo the UVs in ZBrush and Maya. In my first test I was able to reimport the mesh and then texture it in RC for the final export. However when I try laying out the UVs across multiple tiles in Maya, RC gives me a failure notice that " a texture coordinate u or v is bigger than 1" my original RC export that i am using for retopo has 2 tiles the one i am trying to reimport has 8. I wonder if there is a fix for this problem.
I can definitely say this is a UDIM problem and not a mistake in the geometry as the model imports fine as soon as I am scaling the UV shells down so they fit in the first square
I’m afraid that we will not be able to help you without being able to reproduce the problem on our machines. Would it be possible to hand us out your model that you are willing to import?
