I opened my project on UE5.4 to work on it but the landscape material wasn’t working as well. Some chuncks of the world (it’s an open world project) had the default Unreal Engine grid, other chuncks were normal and the remaning chuncks had the wrond layer info (expected: sand actual layer: grass)
I use an asset called Brushify and it worked really well until today.
I don’t know what is the reason of this bug, I recently added the “Visual Studio Integration Tools”, maybe it’s the reason of the bug?

Assets
Steps to Reproduce
1- install brushify
2- create a landscape and paint it using brushify’s landscape material
From here I don’t know what I did wrong but here what I’ve done with VS
3- I followed this tutorial to setup VS for Unreal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQDskHVw1to
Expected Result
The landscape should be completely painted
Observed Result
The some landscape chuncks are using the default grid, other are using the wrong layer info and the others are normal
Not entirely sure what is going on here if im honest. Do you have more than one set of layer infos? i generally dont save them where the default option to save is, rather i choose a folder in my maps folders.
Its possible you have the demo level loaded into the project thats giving you incorrect layer infos. Make sure they are the correct ones and you havent accidentally overwritten them doing a new level (as the engine likes defaulting to the same location in my experience).
Other than that its possibly a memory issue either ram or gpu possibly? Not sure just clutching at straws here. I dont have any issues with brushify myself.
Also try removing the material and re applying it? also check out garths extensive tutorials on brushify if you havent already they are invaluable!
I don’t know how this happened:
Some blend overlay nodes were unplugged, this caused some material functions not to work properly.
I think the cause of this is an error during a save.
