Brushed Metal on Fab

I just downloaded brushed metal and once it imported its just a mask there is no base or normal maps, I guess my question is, How would I create a master with just a mask is that even possible?

This asset is a Surface Imperfection, and it doesn’t have all the same texture maps as a Surface asset. The maps that come with these types of assets are meant to be added to other materials, like a base metal.

You can use a standard metal Surface, like aluminum or steel, or something along those lines, and then take the roughness and metallic map (or if other maps and imperfections are included) and add them to the material setup for the standard metal Surface.

It will depend on the software how these will blend. If you are using UE, you can simply bring the imperfection textures into the material setup of the material you want to add them to, and Lerp, Multiply, or otherwise blend them into the existing textures of the same type (metal, roughness, etc)
