Broken - Editor Apply Spline node, conform landscape to spline code UE 5.1

Hello, asking again as the only response I got last time was that someone heard Epic knows of this. However, I am just wondering if anyone knows for sure 100%. In UE 5.1 the ability to conform a landscape to a spline is broken. I’m not talking about the “landscape spline”, but rather I am talking about a “Spline Component Spline” and the now broken ability to conform a landscape to it. I have attached an image of the Blueprint node used to achieve this. Does anybody have any ideas, or know if Epic is for sure fixing it? Thanks!

What is broken about it? Does it not run, or it provides an inconceivable output?
As you said, I know it was on the Public Bug Report, but it was marked cannot reproduce, so my best guess would be they’ve moved on from their bug report.
I know that splines have some different inherited properties depending on which level of the game they’re on - but I’m not sure it would affect it like that.
You could go about filing a bug report, but that will take some time, so it may be worth looking into how to fit the Landscape Splines into your workflow.

That’s curious that it was marked could not reproduce. Anyone can reproduce it. It worked in 5.0, and now in 5.1 it does not. What it should do is tell a selected landscape or proxy variant, to conform to a spline at the defined width and falloff. It worked in all previous versions of Unreal up until 5.1. There have been changes to the code in landscapes themselves, so it could be related to that. I still have not found a real answer.

@SupremeMaximus very curious, I’ve been seeing a pretty big influx of questions regarding it recently too.
If you know it’s a broken bug, we can file another bug report and make sure that it’s given enough support to be fixed.

Yes if you have access to the Paid For, Unreal Developers Network, that would get word through to the actual teams working on the engine. Can you please send a bug report that the Editor Apply Spline node is broken, and therefore there is a bug somewhere in splines and landscapes. Splines also have broken collision in 5+. Collision may work fine with one thing but not another, for example, it might work for the default UE5 car, but it does not work correctly for the default UE5 mannequin, and I know from others that there are other things for which collision does not work. If you don’t mind please create a bug report for that also. A lot of people are relying on these functions to work and it puts us in a bad place with these issues. Combing through source code I see a lot of changes between UE4 and UE5 in regards to splines and landscapes. Thanks the help, please keep me posted.
