when ever I open quixel bridge in an unreal engine 5 project it does this.
Hey there @anon51061666! Does the sign in on the top right side ever appear? It’s acting as though it’s not connected to Quixel’s side from the looks of it. Sometimes when things like this occur it’s due to the app never getting permission to send data of your network, but I believe the plugin is wrapped through UE so it should be able to regardless in this case.
Is there any update available inside the Epic Games launcher for it?
Could you try reinstalling it via the launcher?
If all else fails, I have a couple of threads from quixel support for a (kinda) similar issue, though it seems Quixel worked with them in private tickets, so if they resolved the issue the info on how would be with their support. (Doesn’t mean I won’t try to help you here, but I would recommend putting in a ticket on their side just to be doubly sure this get’s resolved).

it basically tells me to reload and then I do. it never actually loads my account or content. I got the bridge app for Mac but it has no option for unreal engine 5. just unreal engine 4 versions.
Yes, UE5 requires the built in plugin. The reinstallation didn’t change anything, and it’s not a user access issue since you’re on MacOS. In this case, It might be best to report it on the Quixel support side to see if there’s a quick fix they have on hand.
I wrote to the support for help to root similar problem. It’s shows me that I’m offline so it was Eset NOD32. Here is how to fix it:
We were able to root out the issue to the ESET NOD32 Anti-Virus. After it’s most recent update, it seems to be blocking the Bridge Plugin within UE5 from communicating with our servers.
We have sourced the following workarounds for you to try:
1) Uninstall the Anti-Virus entirely. (This ensures that the issue will not come up again)
2) Follow the steps below:
- Navigate into Setup > Advanced Setup > Detection Engine.
- Select Network Traffic Scanner and Disable it.
- You should now be able to run Bridge within UE5 successfully.
Hope that will help someone!
