I have an issue with the last version of Bridge inside UE 5.3.
When I brows through the library, for example if I search “cliff” and then scroll down, i fall in an infinite loop where bridge show me 10 or 20 assets again and again.
Its not the case with the standalone app. And by the way its loading waaaaay faster than the UE5 plugin…
I’m using build 5.3.2 from Git
but only recently noticed the same problem.
Maybe it’s not the plugin.
I checked the plugin and in 5.4 the same situation exists.
Most likely it’s either a server or network issue. Later I will use the debugger to see what responses from the server come to the plugin.
I am also experiencing this issue. Currently it is just happening in 5.3.2. I tried in 5.2.1 and it worked without issue.
I tried doing a complete re-install of bridge to 5.3.2 (removing bridge plugin, cache folder/bridge folder then re-installing from the vault) but that did not work.
Not sure what else to try for this one, hoping it just starts working again.
Curious to know how widespread this is, I feel like there would be a lot more posts about this if it was happening to everyone.
I just updated to 5.3.2 yesterday and noticed it was doing the same thing as you all are mentioning. I have not used the editor on anything newer than 5.1 so I cannot say for sure when it broke. The best thing I have found to do is individually click each asset sub-folder type within bridge to keep the asset list shorter, limiting it’s need to load another page into view.
\\update
assembled the version for myself and everything works.
I also transferred the plugin to engine version 5.3.2 from the EGS to check the functionality of the solution, and it also works in this version.
I don’t want to break the forum rules, but I can post the assembled plugin here.
Let me know if this is important to you.
I’ve been getting the same however I’m also getting it in the Stand Alone version, and on top of that the stand alone version keeps wanting me to update it. When I go to download it appears to download but not install. But I’m getting the exact same issue regardless in UE5.3 or standalone where the assets repeat themselves. I’ll give the above a try for the plugin but hopefully there is something for the standalone.
