Thank you Abby and Epic team! I’m looking forward to playing with this pack.

I’ve got into the loading issue thus would like your help:
When I opened this project for the first time, the loading into UE5.5 was stuck at 95% progress like forever. It showed waiting for static meshes to be ready 0/1 and kept loading assets under /Game/MS/3D. I couldn’t open it until like 1 hour passed. I don’t know if it’s just for me or anyone else. Is there any way to accelarate it?

My device specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
Memory: 32GB
GPU: Nvidia 2080 Super 8GB

Hi @blackmyth_wukoon . I don’t know the answer to your question. If some kind community member doesn’t come to the rescue, you can try reaching out to https://support.fab.com/s/?ProductOrigin=1PC with your question and they may be able to assist.

Same here , it stuck there for awhile and then crashes, no way to open it ? any solutions?

@JNwork I was able to open it, but it just took way longer than I expected. Didn’t see crashes on my side but my CPU usage was 100% all along during the first loading.

Has the ability to download been stopped? When I hit the download button there are no “Included assets” available.

Hi @tjcolvin . Is this the message that you receive when you try to download?

Hi,

I’m also having an issue downloading & that screenshot is exactly what I’m getting. It shows as saved in my library but when I go to download I get that screenshot and no ability to actually download & add to a project?

Any help would be welcome!

Thanks in advance!

I havent posted here for ages, but wanted to check out your awesome project, but it seems like I cant add it to 5.5.1 and 5.5 isnt possible to get anymore, for some reason. Could you update the sample pack to 5.5.1?

Also, happy new year!

This is my issue yes. When I search in the Epic Launcher Unreal Engine Library section it also doesn’t pull up.

Yes. I get that message. And then I click on “Add to My Library:”. When I go to my library I only see the following. When I go to my Library in the launcher, it is empty.

We’re aware of this issue and are working to fix it. As a workaround:

  1. Open UE and find the Fab plugin under the Window dropdown.
  2. Open the “Dark Ruins” listing (either from search or the Quixel profile)
  3. Click “Add to my library”
  4. Now open the Epic Games Launcher, click on Unreal Engine in the lefthand navigation, then Library in the top navigation, and refresh the Fab library.
  5. Dark Ruins should now appear in the Vault and you can use it to start your project.

how easy would it be to import the assets into 5.4? does the materials need reworking?

I think is not possible, I tried to to it manually and it does not recognize some materials

Can’t believe no one has addressed this. No matter how great, and how much effort was put into it- this is completely useless if you must wait 2 hours every time you want to open the project.

Hi @TheRealJernn. I checked in with the team about this and it is expected for a project of this size and complexity to take 50+ minutes to load.

More than 10% of a full working day to simply load an example project is untenable. So when it crashes (which it does)- there went another 10% of your day. This oversight, or constraint of Unreal- makes the project completely unusable for 99% of people.

Thanks for that feedback. I’ve shared it with the team.
