European Forest is a lightweight and performance-friendly forest system for creating realistic natural environments. All assets are high-quality scans and carefully optimized for use in games. It comes with Pivot Painter 2 wind animation, allowing full control over wind strength and direction, a season slider to change between summer and spooky season, an blueprint to manage wind and foliage material settings. A simple three-layer landscape material is included to help you quickly build natural-looking terrains. Despite its detail, the system runs efficiently and is well-suited for large environments and open worlds.
Starter Pack v1.0
This first release focuses on a single species: European Beech (Fagus sylvatica).
It covers the full growth cycle from small seedlings and young saplings up to fully grown, mature trees, as well as scanned branches, twigs, and leaf clusters for natural forest floor detail.
Future Updates
The European Forest will expand over time with additional European plant species, creating a complete and diverse ecosystem.
All future updates are free.
This first version is a starter pack available at a lower price, an opportunity to support development early and benefit from all upcoming content at no extra cost.
Technical Note
The landscape material supports Nanite and can be enabled in the Landscape settings if Nanite Tesselation is enabled. For UE 5.3 - 5.4 Nanite for the foliage is currently not supported.
