this most engaging tab in general looks really off, the tab isn’t visible in any analytics sites either, but its on the website and in game discovery on my xbox, sometimes on my pc but generally i see these maps bleeding into all the other variants of most engaging that are visible in analytics
a few make sense like lumberjack (100m+ pt) but these others getting 50m+ do not and their year analytics show it very clearly
i have seen these same maps for like a year in game and on the website which is why i bring it up. cannot show analytics on a tab that doesn’t exist for the last year though.
what excuse is there at this point? is it regional only? just pure incompetence on the moderation side? exploitation? most of these maps in this special undocumented “most engaging” are bots.
its very sus how many flaws this ecosystem has that have been an issue for a year+, maybe epic just isn’t aware of this because none of their reporting even works, everyone is scattered on some disgusting discord channel maybe? maybe employees shouldn’t be in some back ally discord channel and they should be watching their forums?
I dunno, saying they are amateur makes it out like this is some sort of mistake, i don’t think this is by mistake, a lot of these maps are just manually placed in these positions with no actual performance metric determining anything
all these maps in this list are sus af, these same maps have been rotating in multiple “most engaging” lists that dont exist on any analytics sights for years now, getting some odd ccu considering their discovery and their quality, it makes zero sense.
never left 17d since last post. this just makes everything in most engaging, fan fave etc look sus. seeing some of them on home page lately. no moderation in sight.
Would be funny if the law changed on ip and Epic would be held accountable. I know some laws are changing in the EU this year for various things but idk if ip is a part of it.
How this system would be different if Epic was held to account for people doing this blatant ip ripoff on their platform tho.
still top slot, and they were removed for a minute this morning, showcasing their actual player numbers coming from this tab, the map has maybe 40 actual players coming from this tab. just take a glance at the statistics and do your own research.
this algorithm has to do a better job at recognizing what a good map is cause at the moment all this algorithm does is reward this sort of leveraging of bots. a good 7 day retention seems to be what it really likes meanwhile that is the exact stat a botted map would excel in.
