border or fill for a widget with multiple child items

hi

how do you create a widget with a border or filled background when the widget has a number (>1) child widget items (items on the widget)

i have placed items in a canvas panel because design and layout is easy then
can you add a border or fill for the canvas in some way

is there a better approach than using a image item

Use the border widget to wrap the canvas

at first i could not (that would have meant doing the widget over) but i now found the wrap option when i right click
