So I have been waiting for few days to receive bookmarks from Unreal Market and I received it alright, but It was a disappointment! Just the names in PDF, no link, no owner, nothing, just a name?! really?
I had Golem
, Alien 5
, Fish Set
, Dwarf
,Stylized Character Girl
, Grenades Pack
, Space VFX
, Toy Figures
, Concrete debris
, Nanite Foliage
and good luck finding the one that you have bookmarked, by searching in thousands of assets listed (there were at least 7 Alien
5 listed)
In Unreal market I was able to bookmark 200 items and it isn’t enough when you are developing a game on budget and want to make as much as you can on your buck. Now it is downgraded to 150! seriously? I couldn’t even fit my old bookmark list into new one!
Ok enough nagging and lets go for teaching.

People use bookmarks for two reason, one, the come back and look at item, which you can do it by using browser bookmarks. and the second is Mark that for purchase during discounts! I made this part bold, in case honorable developers never noticed or never even purchased anything from Amazon!

And a programming lesson (I develop software too) a bookmark will require an asset Id (8bytes) (GUID), A member Id (also 8 bytes) and probably a primary key(probably 8 bytes or less) which is in total 24 bytes and adding an index to its PK (8 bytes) will become 32 bytes. This means even if a member bookmark entire asset library of Fab, it will be 7Mb! Why would you limit it to 150?
List of assets in my library is 150 times bigger than that and it doesn’t cause any issue. And BTW probably nobody is going to bookmark the assets that they already have in their library nor bookmark entire Fab!
It looks like the Fab developers are straight upgraded from SketchFab to Fab and apparently have never used Unreal Market in their life and are not good in programming either, otherwise they would know, these small details. , They are supposed to improve our quality of life, not make it even harder!
Please increase Bookmark cap to at least 1000 or even better if higher.
