Bone translation after rettargeting

Hey there,

I’m trying to figure out how to create my own first person animations. I’m using the default SKM_Manny and SK_Manequin_Arms from UE5.

So, I created a bunch of animations, exported them as linked sequences so I can update them later and retargetted them to the arms mesh.

However, it seems that the bone translations are not kept after the retarget. In fact, I moved the shoulder bone in order to have a cool FP view (even if you would be in trouble if your shoulder was in that position). It looks like this :


It also looks fine once exported.
But as soon as I retarget them, I get this :

The weapon isn’t pointing the right way and the left arm is completely out of place.

Any way I can fix this? I strongly believe that it’s just a setting to tweak but I can’t find that answer online.
