Bombing Run - Attaching a controllable player with camera to a spline

Hi there…

Is there a way to attach a character with a controllable camera to a spline where they can fire?

I want to basically do a bombing run.

1. Player attaches to Spline and flies to the end point.
I dont want the player to control where they’re going, so the player will follow the spline’s path..

  1. Player can control camera and Fire
    The Player should only be able to manually rotate the camera with the mouse and fire a line trace downwards.

I currently have this which is attaching my BP_Bomber_Pawn to the spline but its not moving

I also set up rotation and its not rotating either :frowning:

From there I can do the rest…

But any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you certain that you are attaching it to the spline? And tick is enabled? How are you ensuring that the Spline Actor variable is set?

Are you getting the “Not Rotating”/”Rotating” print strings?
