Blurry textures everytime I reopen my project.

Hi everyone, I’m currently experiencing an issue where, every time I reopen my project, many of the assets (though not all) end up with blurry textures. When checking the texture file, it shows the correct resolution of 2048x2048, but the file size is only 3kb, which makes the texture extremely blurry. Reimporting fixes the issue temporarily.

However, after reimporting a few of these textures, I noticed that some of the first ones I had reimported started becoming blurry again. When I check the texture location, the file appears fine and as soon as I open it, the texture goes on the object goes back to normal.

Anyone knows what could be happening? thanks

I had this, but it went away with an engine updated. Are you now on 5.6?

Yep, it was happening in 5.5, and though updating to 5.6 would fix it, but it didnt.

I’m pretty sure, that turning off Oodle ( texture mip plugin ) stopped this problem for me, but I don’t have it now in 5.6.

It’s not a permanent solution, but worth a try.

Yes, with oodle off, everything’s loading correctly now. Thanks for the tip.

Not a total solution, because things will run more slowly, but it will work for now :wink:
