I don’t understand why those threads keep coming up? Isn’t clear already? Programmers you use Visual Studio. Designers use Blueprint. End of story. There’s no reason to compare two different tools which are meant for two different target groups. I’m developing two game prototypes using only BP. Both titles are registered in Sony and based on them Sony gave DevKit for free. I can’t ask for more. Thanks to BP feature this was never possible for me in the past. When my games get funded I can then hire programmers to take the game beyond prototyping.
I have no doubts that BP is going to be a massive competitor to coding in the future. BP is only 2 years old but we already can do more a lot in much faster than what any programmer. Can you code a fighting game from start to finish including graphics and menus in like 2 days? I will very surprised if any programmer can. But even if someone can then s/he’s a genius programmer. The point is, with BP, any one can not only geniuses
