Blueprint Update Animation always invalid

Opening the third-person template with UE 5.3, despite the fact that the animations seem to be working fine, the event Blueprint Update Animation is always invalid for the character on ABP_Manny, so things I have added in the sequence in there are not working.

Any idea why that would be? This happens even before I make any changes:

So, as I thought, this was a noob question. I hadn’t selected the correct preview instance, so, problem solved. :slight_smile:

All I had to do was on the top-right corner of the ABP_Manny screen, with the game running, select the preview instance of my player within the game and everything started flowing correctly.
